I ADDED UP THE TOTAL VOTES FROM BUSH/KERRY AND THEN MCCAIN/OBAMA AND, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IN SPITE OF ALL THE HYPE 880,000 LESS PEOPLE VOTED IN THIS ELECTION THAN THE LAST ELECTION. I KNOW IT WOULD NOT HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE, STILL IT SURPRISED ME WITH ALL THE NEW VOTERS OBAMA REGISTERED. A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE DIDN'T VOTE. I HOPE THEY WERE NOT EVANGELICALS.

Chris, preaching love and tolerance, that's what Christ did? Seriously? Yes, Christ commands us to love but show me where Christ was tolerant to sin and those who professed to be religious yet were wicked on the inside. Yes, we do need to work together to better this nation but there are certain issues of supreme importance where there is no room for compromise i.e. the killing of innocent babies, gay marriage, freedom of speech (which is in danger), etc. Be assured though, this is no time for evangelicals and conservatives to go run, hide and bury our collective heads in the sand but instead hold up our president elect in prayer while holding fast to God's word without apology.

I think the future of the Republican party is in people like Sarah Palin and Mark Sanford. Two young governors who I hope we'll see in the Presidential race 4 years from now.

I understand what people say about the problems with poverty and unemployment, However, they must keep in perspective that their is a segment of the population that is unemployable.

I heard a political pundit speak on this a year ago, and he mentioned a company in CA that offered warehouse jobs to anyone that could "ride a bike and pass a drug test." The pundit gave an incredible number of how many people applied, but could not pass those 2 things. Poverty and unemployment is an issue, but some people bring things on themselves, and should not be rewarded for it.
